The City of Savannah and Visit Savannah have launched the “9 Days of 912” scavenger hunt as part of their “912 Day” celebration. The scavenger hunt is designed to engage residents and visitors in discovering unique locations and landmarks throughout the city. Participants will have the chance to win daily prizes and a grand prize by following clues, sharing their discoveries on social media.

The 9 Days of 912 Challenge will culminate on Thursday, Sept. 12, with a celebration at the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Business Connection. This event will be held at Kehoe Ironworks from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring music and games.

The scavenger hunt is open to all residents and visitors of Savannah. Participants must have a public Instagram or Facebook account to be eligible. 

How to participate:

• From Sept. 4-12, daily clues will be posted on the City of Savannah and Visit Savannah’s social media accounts.
• Participants must find the location or landmark described in each clue.
• Take a selfie photo at the identified location or landmark and post on Instagram or Facebook, tagging @CityofSavannah and @VisitSavannah as well as using the hashtags #912Day, #Savannah912Day, #SavannahStrong, and #SAV912Day in the post.

The first 20 participants to post each day will receive a daily prize. Participants who successfully find and post a photo for each of the 9 days will be entered into a grand prize raffle. The correct answer for each clue will be revealed 24 hours after the clue is posted.

Participants with correct submissions will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used.

Additional Rules:

• Photos must be original selfies and taken at the specified location.
• Participants must be following @CityofSavannah and @VisitSavannah on Instagram or Facebook.
• All posts must adhere to the community guidelines of Instagram and Facebook.
• Inappropriate or offensive content will be disqualified.
• By participating, entrants consent to their photos being shared on the City of Savannah and Visit Savannah’s social media platforms.
• The City of Savannah reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these rules.
